Discutiremos propuestas de políticas clave para desafiar el poder corporativo en las cadenas de suministro globales en América Latina para empoderar a las y los trabajadores y sus organizaciones. El curso ofrece una combinación de conferencias, materiales de lectura y talleres de zoom con los mejores expertos de la academia y el sector laboral.

Estructura del curso
El curso tiene seis capítulos de contenido. El curso está disponible en modo tutoreado desde el 15 de octubre al 3 de diciembre y durante este período podrá obtener su Certificado de Aprobación (CoA) e interactuar en distintas propuestas sincrónicas. Sin embargo, el curso permanecerá abierto para estudiar a su propio ritmo todo el año; sin actividades sincrónicas, y le permitirá obtener su Certificado de Participación (CoP).

Objetivos de aprendizaje
- Al final del curso, las y los participantes podrán definir los problemas clave en las principales áreas que afectan las cadenas de suministro globales, como el comercio, los impuestos, la debida diligencia, la sostenibilidad ambiental y las políticas industriales.
- También podrán identificar algunas propuestas clave para cada área y analizar los méritos de varias propuestas y los desafíos políticos para su implementación.
- Podrán relacionarse con los conceptos clave utilizados en cada área de política.
- Finalmente, al final del curso, podrán aportar argumentos sobre las propuestas de política.
¿Qué necesito saber?
Este es un curso multidisciplinario que se basa en los campos de las ciencias sociales, políticas y económicas. Tiene el nivel de un programa de maestría, pero los conceptos se explican de manera accesible y bien ilustrada, por lo que también es posible participar en el curso utilizando habilidades y conocimientos adquiridos fuera de la educación formal.

La carga de trabajo estimada es de 8 a 10 horas por capítulo si también lee la lectura clave para cada unidad.

Objetivos de aprendizado
- Ao final do curso, os participantes serão capazes de definir os principais problemas nas principais áreas que afetam as cadeias de suprimentos globais, como comércio, taxação, devida diligência, sustentabilidade ambiental e políticas industriais.
- Eles também poderão identificar algumas propostas-chave para cada área e analisar os méritos de várias propostas e os desafios políticos para sua implementação.
- Eles serão capazes de se relacionar com os principais conceitos usados em cada área de política.
- Por fim, ao final do curso, os participantes poderão apresentar argumentos sobre as propostas de políticas.
O que eu preciso saber?
Este é um curso multidisciplinar com base nas áreas de curso de ciências sociais, políticas e econômicas. Está ao nível de um programa de mestrado, mas os conceitos são explicados de forma acessível e bem ilustrada, pelo que também é possível participar no curso utilizando competências e conhecimentos adquiridos fora do ensino formal.

Sebastian Herreros
Edlira Xhafa
Edlira Xhafa is the Executive Director of the Online Academy of the Global Labour University. She has a master's degree in Labour Policies and Globalisation from the Global Labour University (Germany) and holds a PhD in Labour Studies from the University of Milan, Italy. Since 2000, she has been engaged with national trade unions in her home country Albania, as well as in the Philippines, Bangladesh, Cambodia and Myanmar. She has also worked for, and collaborated with Education International, Public Services International, Building and Wood Workers' International, International Labour Organisation, Friedrich Ebert Stiftung and others.
Christoph Scherrer
Christoph Scherrer is professor for Globalization and Politics and executive director of the International Center for Development and Decent Work at the University of Kassel and a member of Steering Committee of the Global Labour University.
Roberto Alexandre Zanchetta Borghi
Roberto A. Z. Borghi is Professor of Economics at the University of Campinas (Unicamp, Brazil). He holds a PhD in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge, UK. His research interests include economic development, international trade, developing economies, and industrial relations. He has published several academic papers, book chapters and opinion articles, regularly participating in international conferences.
Bruno De Conti
Bruno De Conti is an Assistant Professor at the University of Campinas (Unicamp, Brazil). He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Paris 13 (France) and Unicamp. He was a Visiting Professor at the University Paris 13, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain), Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO, Russia), Free University of Berlin (Germany), Universidad Nacional de Colombia and Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (China). At Unicamp, he is the Coordinator of the BRICS Network University – Economics and Director of the Confucius Institute. His main researches are on the International Monetary System, Chinese Economy and BRICS.

Coordinator of the Observatory of Social Law at the Argentinean Workers Confederation (CTA). PhD in Social Science. Lecturer at the University of Lanus (Argentina). Specialist on industrial relations and labour migration.

Dr Frank Hoffer
Dr Frank Hoffer is a research fellow of the Global Labour University. He studied in Bremen, London and Moscow. He holds a PhD in Economics. During his professional career, Frank Hoffer was a Labour Attache at the Germany Embassy in Moscow, worked as a senior research officer at the International Labour Organisation and served as the Executive Director of the ACT Foundation. His main areas of interest and research are social policy, wage policies and the application of international labour standards. He is a non-executive director of the GLU Online Academy board

Stefanie Lorenzen
Stefanie Lorenzen is a professor for business law, especially employment and labor law at the Berlin School of Economics and Law since 2009. She worked for two years at the Ministery of Justice in Windhoek, Namibia, where she supported a development aid study on legal reform after the country’s independence in 1994. From 1998 to 2009 she was an attorney-at-law specialised in employment and labor law, with an international law firm in Germany and in her own practice. At the Berlin School of Economics and Law she academically directs a Master programme in Business Law in an International Context, and lectures on International Labour Standards and working conditions along the global supply chain.
Marlese von Broembsen
Marlese von Broembsen is the Law Programme Director of Women in the Informal Economy, Globalising and Organising (WIEGO). Marlese has a Masters Degree in Development Studies and law degrees from the Universities of Cape Town and Harvard. She convened a Masters Programme in Social Justice at the Faculty of Law, University of Cape Town from 2009-2014. . She was awarded a Harvard South Africa Fellowship in 2014 and was a Visiting Researcher at the Institute for Global Law and Policy, Harvard Law School from 2015-2017. Marlese has published on labour law and development, global value chains, and informal employment.
Ruwan Subasinghe
Ruwan Subasinghe is Legal Director at the International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF), a global trade union body representing over 18.5 million workers in 147 countries. He specialises in labour, human rights, and international law. Ruwan represents the ITF at external bodies, including the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). He is frequently called up as an expert on international labour standards and, among other things, guest lectures at the International Training Centre of the ILO. Ruwan sits on the Advisory Boards of the International Lawyers Assisting Workers (ILAW) Network and Cornell University’s New Conversations Project. He is also a Board member of the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI). Prior to joining the ITF, Ruwan practised at an international law firm based in London. He holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Durham and a Master’s Degree in Industrial Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Mark Anner, Penn State University
Mark Anner is a Professor of Labor and Employment Relations, and Political Science, and he is the Director of the Center for Global Workers' Rights at Penn State University. He is also the chair of the MPS Program in Labor and Global Workers' Rights, which is a part of the Global Labour University network. He holds a Ph.D. in Government from Cornell University and a Master's Degree in Latin American Studies from Stanford University. Dr. Anner's research examines freedom of association and corporate social responsibility, labor law reform and enforcement, and workers' rights in apparel global value chains in Central America and Vietnam. His publications include Solidarity Transformed: Labor Responses to Globalization and Crisis in Latin America* (Cornell University Press, 2011). Before beginning his academic career, Mark Anner spent eleven years working with labor unions and labor research centers in Central America and Brazil, and he was a union organizer in Boston.

que estamos todos no mesmo navio
que nossa percepção de valores de identidade enquanto povos latino americanos continua muito forte e que temos o sentimento de que somente unidos podemos fazer a diferença. E que as nossas diferenças podem ser a razão de nossa união. O que não gostei talvez seja porque nao falo inglês e tenho um pouco de dificuldade de acompanhar a lingua ainda bem que fui salvo pela legenda. kkkk
